BLOOD DONORS ACTIVE ALSO IN THE CAPITAL

Donor Slavko Jeknić has been active so far in Podgorica but founding of the Subsidiary has increased number of donors to over 20. President of the Subsidiary, Igor Mijušković, is satisfied with the first blood donation and he announced new activities of blood donors in Podgorica.     

- Having in mind that this was the first campaign we are content with its results. We hope that more donors will take part in the next campaign that we plan to organize in February and that more blood units will be donated. I would like to thank people from the Blood Transfusion Institute and I hope that we will continue our cooperation in the future – Mr. Mijušković said.         

Doctor Mirjana Savićević pointed out that these campaigns are very important for the Blood Transfusion Institute and she expects that EPCG Blood Donor Club will continue with similar activities.   

- Many familiar persons are here today. They have already donated blood individually but this is the first time that EPCG Blood Donor Club organizes the blood donation in Podgorica. The Institute has to maintain certain blood reserves and we are managing that owing to this kind of activities. We have agreed with EPCG Blood Donor Club to organize such activities throughout Montenegro because our goal is to rouse people to realize that blood donating is not only an obligation but also a privilege of healthy people – doctor Savićević said.        

This was the seventh campaign organized by EPCG Blood Donor Club in this year and traditional final campaign is planned to be organized in Nikšić by the end of 2014.
