Nikšić: 73 units of valuable fluid collected

Voluntary Blood Donors Club of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore in cooperation with the Club “Students of Nikšić” organized a very successful campaign of voluntarily blood donating in Nikšić. 87 humanists attended the campaign, while 73 units of blood were collected. 

This is the first campaign of the Voluntary Blood Donors Club of EPCG in Nikšić this year, which is traditionally organized with students and which met expectations, just like all the previous ones. Doctor Dragica Janičić, Head of the Department for Laboratory, Clinic and Urgent Transfusion, pointed out that she is particularly pleased with the fact that a number of persons who donated blood for the first time took part in this campaign. 

- It is very important that people who donated their blood for the first time attended this campaign. Blood should be donated before it is needed and this is the reason why these kinds of campaigns have such a great importance. Of course, campaigns of the Voluntarily Blood Donors Club of EPCG are always very successful, including this one, which was organized in cooperation with students – stated doctor Janičić.  

Persons who donated their blood for the first time agree that everyone who is able and does not have any health barriers should overcome their fears and realize that they may save someone’s life by donating the valuable fluid.

Next campaign of the Voluntarily Blood Donors Club of EPCG will be organized at the end of July in Herceg Novi.
