The international basketball camp for boys and girls aged 9-17 has been officially opened in Kolašin. The Camp is organised by the famous Montenegrin basketball players Vlado Šćepanović and Savo Đikanović and our Company has joined the pool of camp’s friends by financing the participation of twenty children and two house parents from the Foster Home “Mladost” from Bijela for the fourth consecutive time which, in addition to sports, gives this camp a humanitarian character.
“Being a socially responsible company, we strive that our support to the social community contributes to its development. The children from Bijela are very happy with their stay and socialising in the camp, they impatiently wait for each new camp and that is a pleasure that we must not take away from them. Besides learning the bases of basketball and healthy lifestyles, the children spend time with their peers, make new friendships and, according to the organisers, they stand as an example for the other children”, Nikola Rovčanin, the Chief Executive Officer of EPCG, pointed out.
Our celebrated basketball player and one of the camp organisers, Vlado Šćepanović says that not only do the attendees get the chance to learn from the best but also to meet the best basketball players of Montenegro. “In the past six seasons, the Kolašin-located camp welcomed more than 2000 boys and girls which speaks volumes about the commitment of the camp and the trust of both the parents and the children. The way in which EPCG supports the camp by bringing 20 children and 2 house parents from the Bijela –situated Foster Home proved to be an extraordinarily humanitarian gesture done by your company because, through spending time with peers and socialisation with children from across the region, you graced these children with an experience that will be talked about for a long time”.
Vesna Zlatković, director of the Foster Home “Mladost” from Bijela stressed that the children have been looking forward to revisit Kolašin thus the donation from EPCG is extremely important: “I would like to use this opportunity to thank EPCG on behalf of all the employees and particularly on behalf of the children for this amazing gesture. Every kind of donation to these children is invaluable but the most precious are those donations that enable the children to make new friends. This type of support from EPCG is a hit because children meet new friends, famous basketball players and all of that is extremely important to them”.
The names of Nikola Vučević, Bojan Dubljević, Saša Pavlović, Jelena Dubljević, Iva Perovanović, Blagota Sekulić, Nemanja Radović, Nikola Ivanović, Danilo Nikolić, Nemanja Gordić, Petar Popović, Vanja Marinković, Ognjen Čarapić, Miloš Koljenšić, and of coaches such as Mijo Kadija, Zvezdan Mitrović, Nikola Antić and may others who promoted the camp over the past seven years of its existence, coupled with a modern program for all the participants, are more than a sufficient reason for the camp to become recognisable in every aspect.
