The topic of work meeting held between representatives of the top management of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) and Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS) referred to the possibilities for improvement of cooperation aimed at more efficient and profitable electric power systems of Montenegro and Republika Srpska, as well as common valorization of water potential for the energy purposes but also for the purpose of improved water supply of the Montenegrin Littoral.
Cooperation between EPCG and ERS, which is, in the opinion of representatives of the both companies, of an extreme interest for the both electric power systems, has been re-established upon the meeting held in EPCG headoffice in Nikšić between representatives of the two companies, after multiyear stagnation.
To that end, options for better use of water potentials of the River Trebišnjica in terms of both energy sector and improved water supply in the area of the Montenegrin littoral were discussed. EPCG representatives used the meeting to bring up the HPP Sutorina project for which, as stated, the project documents and necessary studies already exist but need to be updated and harmonised with the latest standards in the energy sector.
Representatives of the Board of Directors of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore and of management of MH Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske, Trebinje-based parent company, agree that the potentials for construction of RES facilities are considerable but some of them cannot be completed without joint efforts all aimed to the wellbeing of the citizens, local communities and economy.
