Infographic: Absolute consumption record reached in August

Due to extremely high, tropical temperatures, the absolute record in monthly consumption of electricity in Montenegro has been registered in the past month and, for the first time, it has been registered that the maximum monthly consumption in the summer period exceeded the maximum monthly consumption in the winter. The volume of 209.9 million kWh has been consumed in August (distribution consumption) what accounts for 2% increase as compared to July and 1% increase as compared to January of the current year, which month held primacy over the record monthly consumption.

Households consumed 117.463.442 kWh (kilowatt hours) of electricity in August, which is 2 % more as compared to July consumption and 10% more as compared to consumption reached in August 2014.

Increased consumption caused by high temperatures affected the outcome of August electricity bills delivered to households, which averagely amounted to €38.88 (excluding non-read metering points in the buildings, which are not permanently resided).

The Municipality of Ulcinj recorded substantial increase in consumption which is why the average bill delivered to households amounts to €75.72. Households in Mojkovac record the lowest average consumption of €24.

Bill exceeding the amount of €150 will be delivered to 1.7% of customers (5,996 from the category of households), while bills worth from €100 to €150 have been registered at 2.24% of customers (7,891 from the household category).

August bills reduced by the amount of discount for regular payers will be delivered to 45% households in Montenegro, i.e. the record 160, 836 customers.

Elektroprivreda Crne Gore has launched the campaign LET’S SHARE THE BURDEN 3 which enables the customers with the debt to effect repayment under extremely favourable conditions, i.e. via fixed monthly instalments amounting to €20 over the course of the next two years. The customers who joined the campaign in September or October 2013 can sign a new protocol for the next 25 months, under the same conditions, in the local units of FU Supply.
