THE REALIZATION OF PLJEVLJA HEATING PROJECT HAS BEGUN BY SIGNING A CONTRACT BETWEEN ELEKTROPRIVREDA CRNE GORE AND THE PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION

The signatories of the Contract are EPCG Chief Executive Officer (Nikola Rovčanin) and the Director of PWA (Boro Lučić), and the ceremony was attended by the Executive Manager of FU Generation (Bojan Đordan), Project Manager of "Pljevlja Heating" (Veselin Sekulić), Project Manager of "TPP Pljevlja Ecological Reconstruction" (Zoran Šljukić), Acting Head of TPP “Pljevlja” branch (Mirko Mazalica), Project coordinator and member of EPCG Board of Directors (Jovan Radošević) and a Representative of the Sector for Legal Practice and Support to Functional Units with the Directorate for Legal Affairs (Mladen Joksović).

The first phase of the subject project refers to the development of the Main overall project of the primary heating pipeline and the construction of the primary heating pipeline from TPP Pljevlja in the length of about 1830 m.

In addition to the Contract signing, project managers presented the Final Preliminary design that received the positive revision report according to the legal procedure.

Third partner, Municipality of Pljevlja, according to the signed Memorandum on understanding between the municipality of Pljevlja, Public Works administration and EPCG, will be the full support in the realization of the first phase, in terms of UT conditions issuing, land expropriation, issuing of construction permits etc. 

By starting the works on heating, the four decades old idea starts with realization.

„ I expect that, after the Tender has been announced, we already during this year have works on the first plase of heating. Decades long hesitation to start with the realization of heating had really devastating economic, social and demografic consequences for Pljevlja. 

The main motivation of EPCG is that, by connecting the strategic commitment to environmental protection and the obligation to the municipality of Pljevlja, it contributes to this area getting what it would have been built in 1983, if there had been luck and intelligence. Our company invests 5 million Euro in this project, where the half of the money goes to the first phase realization”, said Nikola Rovčanin.

"I am very glad to have the opportunity to state that, in terms of works planned for 2022, everything definitely will not remain only on paper, but some development plans will be finalized. Heating is one of the most important projects for Pljevlja, and I hope that we will finish all the work in the predictable future, "said Boro Lucic.
