Elektroprivreda Crne Gore will enable the consumers with electricity debt to join the “Share the Burden” campaign and settle their liabilities under extremely favourable conditions in August as well. Customers from the category of households will be entitled to join the campaign, provided that they have paid the last three bills (April, May, June).
Thus, customer will be entitled to a number of benefits:
- repayment of the previous debt in fixed monthly instalments of €20,
- exemption from forced collection methods as long as the debt-settlement protocol is complied with,
- suspension of default interest calculation,
- deferment of liability to pay costs of initiated court proceedings.
A customer who has not paid the last three bills may also join the campaign by paying all the three bills in entirety or, if only one bill is paid, the remaining two are to be settled. In order for the protocol to remain in force, July bill must be paid by August 31 which is until when the campaign of signing the protocols lasts.
Also, all the customers disconnected from network will be entitled to join the campaign if they pay last three bills (April, May, June) and a €10 connection tax.
Customers who have already signed the standard protocol may reschedule it according to this model, provided that they regularly settle their liabilities based on the existing protocol.
Campaign ‘Share the Burden’ provides excellent results and even 10.000 customers have joined it only in June and July. Around 14.000 households that joined the campaign last year still observe obligations undertaken under the protocol.
During June and July the campaign was mainly joined by the customers who have high debt for consumed electricity, and having in mind that the criteria on the basis of which disconnections are carried out are going to be changed soon, we hereby invite all the customers having lower debt, especially those with debt up to €300, to use this unique opportunity and repay their debt in fixed monthly instalments.
Number of instalments is determined by dividing the amount of debt by €20 (for example, debt of €320 will be repaid in 16 equal fixed monthly instalments of €20). If debt amounts to above 500 euros, the protocol envisaging 25 monthly instalments of €20 euros will be signed and after its expiry the customer may sign the new protocol for the remaining amount of debt.
