Representatives of EPCG and the Municipality of Nikšić - Mr. Nikola Rovčanin (Chief Executive Officer), Mr. Rajko Radusinović (member of EPCG Board of Directors), Mr. Bojan Đordan (Executive manager of FU Generation) and Mr. Nemanja Vuković (president of the Municipal Assembly Nikšić) –visited the Holy Transfiguration Monastery at Somina today, so as to put solar panels into operation, the construction of which has been fully financed by our company.
The monastery was constructed and sanctified in 2001 and it pertains to the Eparchy of Budimlja and Nikšić. It is situated about 45 km north-west from Nikšić. According to abbot Arsenije and nuns Sinklitikija and Bosiljka, the problem regarding electricity supply of this monastery which was evident in the last two decades has been solved by construction of the solar panels.
By this act EPCG reconfirmed its permanent orientation towards socially responsible actions reflecting in different types of assistance towards endangered individuals, regular payers, and making efforts to improve the conditions of the facilities pertaining to the traditional religious communities.
Also, construction of these solar panels illustrates our company’s orientation towards development of renewable energy sources.
EPCG Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Nikola Rovčanin, said that the company will be the support for overall society and promoter of development. ‘It is my great pleasure that we are solving a big problem today which has been a burden for this monastery for a long period. Being devoted to responsible attitude towards community, we will proceed with providing support to everybody needed it, taking care of the environmental protection which is most effectively achieved by investing in green energy’, Mr. Rovčanin said.
