TPP PLJEVLJA READY TO OPERATE AFTER THE SUCCESSFUL OVERHAUL

The overhaul was successfully completed where apart from the standard overhaul of main TPP facilities, a periodical main overhaul of the turbine facility was carried out as well, i.e. all turbo-generators’ runners were reassembled and assembled.    

The concerned works could have been carried out solely by engaging external specialized companies trained and equipped for overhaul works of this type. Luka Jovanović, Director of TPP Pljevlja added: “Our craftsmen carried out activities under their competence assisted with the equipment we have at our disposal for execution of our activities at plant.”

Vladimir Šestović, the overhaul leader, said: “For 35 years of plant’s operation, this is the first time the overhaul was carried out within such a short deadline. It is interesting that, for the first time in our history, we carried out a part of the overhaul by ourselves, i.e. our engineers conducted and supervised the course of the works planned to be performed at turbine facility. Great efforts were made, and 185 thousand working hours speak the best volumes about our commitment.”        

Ms Rada Kovačević, occupational health and safety professional highlighted that all the required OHS measures were applied to in the course of the overhaul thus contributing implementation of a quality and safe overhaul i.e. no employee suffered any injury.
