EPCG has supported 'Bedem Fest' this year too: Excellent line-up, 12 premieres

Eleonora Albijanić, the manager of the External Communication Sector, has pointed out that it is our Company's special honour and pleasure to support Bedem Fest for years now.

- It is our pleasure that this August is a month of rock 'n' roll and quality music in Nikšić. We hope that this will be the month of a new positive energy and that all young people visiting this festival that has become known and prestigious outside our country's borders will enjoy in Nikšić as well as in everything it has to offer, with an excellent line-up prepared by organizers – said Albijanić.

Even 12 artists will perform in Montenegro for the first time, i.e. they will have their first festival performance in Montenegro. This year's fest has been organized under the slogan 'Believe', and Petar Šundić, the festival's CEO has revealed that this event goes back to its traditional location, and that the Fortress of Nikšić will be the centre of positive and good energy.     

- It is beyond doubt that this festival has established its identity and integrity. This is a program with music and numerous musical genres at its epicentre, including also all the types of the unconventional and that which represents undesirable impacts. This year we have made our best to integrate older generations of musicians, musical bands that founded the Yugoslav rock'n'roll. That is how we wanted to create an excellent atmosphere in interaction with younger generations. Performance of the children’s chorus of the musical school 'Dara Čokorilo' will give a special charm, because we want to pay children's attention to real values, even at an early age, and take them away from unwanted effects - said Šundić.  

'Bedem Fest' again wants to pay the public attention to the necessity for further integration and the importance of promoting potentials of vulnerable categories. Having in mind that 2016 is a year of the Paralympic Games, organizers are going to host Paralympics participants at the opening ceremony, confident that, as Šundić said, positive festival energy will be a stimulus to win the medal in Rio de Janeiro.

Art design of Bedem Fest has been estimated to be the best out of 35 designs in total that participated at the competition organized by Nikšić municipality, said Milan Korać on behalf of the Secretariat for Culture, Sports and Youth in Nikšić municipality.

- Bedem Fest will be a good announcement of rich program expected to take place during Septembarski dani (September Days of Culture), an event organized to mark September 18th – Day of Liberation of Nikšić. It is not necessary to particularly remind of this event's importance not only for Nikšić but for the whole state. It is the festival that slowly but certainly takes high positions on the regional musical map. By recognizing the importance of this festival, Nikšić municipality has accepted to be the strategic partner and take active participation in preparation and implementation of this event – said Korać.

The following performers are going to take part at this year's Bedem Fest: S vremena na vreme, Drugi način, Aerodrom, E-play, Alex Kelman trio, Kralj Čačka, Škrtice, Zoster, Bo, Nežni Dalibor, Bitipatibi, Sank, Gomila nesklada, Džej Džej Okoča, Laka, Irie FM, Frenki, Degeneza, Empathy soul project, Tight grips, From another mother, etc.

Also, Bedem Fest will connect music and painting for the first time, through implementing the painting colony 'Pogled s Bedema' which will host ten painters from Nikšić to present on canvas their experience of the old town of Bedem.
