The Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro and EPCG Have Signed the General Sponsorship Agreement

The Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro and Elektroprivreda Crne Gore have signed today the General Sponsorship Agreement thus extending successful cooperation which lasts since June of 2008. At the ceremony held in the wine cellar Šipčanik of Plantaže Company the Agreement was signed by Igor Noveljić, CEO of EPCG and Dejan Bajić, the president of the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro.

‘When speaking about Montenegrin water polo, it is Vladimir Gojković who first crosses my mind, with his shoulder hurt, swimming the opposition and scoring a goal at the moment when all of us wondered whether his career was endangered. Such a power, devotion and willingness have remained as an all-time memory. I wish our guys a safe trip to Barcelona, I want them to have the heart of their coach, and I believe this is so. Montenegro is proud of them, Elektroprivreda is proud to be their sponsor and to be able to support all their efforts. I am confident that you will come with your head up because you have earned our respect many times so far’, said Noveljić.

Dejan Bajić, the president of the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro thanked EPCG for continuous support provided to the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro for many years now.

‘It is clear to all that without such a powerful sponsor we could not meet all the obligations we have towards different teams. I hope that we will return everything to Elektroprivreda and citizens of Montenegro, with medals to be won. This year we have already rejoiced Montenegro with two medals, and now comes the major European championship which is also promising in terms of good news. These guys have courage and knowledge, and with little happiness we hope for favourable news from Barcelona’, said Bajić.

Vladan Savović, the host at the ceremony and representative of the national sales of the company Plantaže, wished happiness to the water polo representation at the forthcoming competition.

‘Tradition and quality are behind us, numerous awards won at most prestigious evaluations of the wine, the gold we won with the old cellar Cabernet Sauvignon, which is what we wish to you – to come from Barcelona with the shiniest medal.’

The Agreement was signed ahead of departure of the Montenegrin water polo representation for the European Championship which will take place in Barcelona during July 15 – 28. A proper send-off was arranged for ‘sharks’ at this ceremony, who will try once again to rejoice the nation in Spain. The coach Vladimir Gojković said that they are ready for the beginning of the championship.

‘We have been together for quite a long time, there are players who are responsible for this. We have worked well and done much of our plan. These two medals have instilled additional self-confidence. Now we are waiting for the final act, the most important competition during this summer. Within next 5-6 days we will try to raise more and continue our previous games’.    

The team captain Draško Brguljan thanked EPCG in his name and in the name of his teammates for a long-standing support.

‘I think we have prepared ourselves very well, we played two very good tournaments, gained additional self-confidence which is very important before a big competition. As usual, we, players, promise that we will provide our maximum, starting from France, through Malta and Spain, and hopefully until the very end. We have an enormous wish to make great result’.

The water polo representation travels to the European Championship on Saturday, and the first match against France will be played on Monday.
